GENERAL ASSEMBLY DRAWING
The general assembly drawing of a product or a structure includes a list of all the parts or components that make up the product, the general arrangement of these components and how they fit together. The drawing also includes the overall dimensions of the components. It essentially has a listing of all parts and sub-assemblies that make the final product. A BOM or Bill of Materials of the general assembly drawing will list out each part number, part name, and part quantity. In some cases, GA drawings also provide instructions on how to fasten parts together, while in other cases, they will list out part numbers.
